Bidding war: NetApp counters EMC for Data Domain with $1.9B offer

NetApp announced it would increase its previous $1.5 billion offer to buy Data Domain to $1.9 billion in order to beat out EMC, which bid $1.8 billion for the data de-duplication vendor.
